Projects

The Ukrainian Startup Association implements national and international projects to develop the innovation ecosystem, digital skills, investments, and European integration of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Startup Association implements national and international projects aimed at developing the innovation ecosystem, digital skills, attracting investments and integrating Ukraine into the European innovation space.

Our activities encompass both strategic long-term initiatives and grant programs in cooperation with state and international partners.

National Coalition StartAid Ukraine

Project “Champions of the Digital Decade – C4DD”

The National Coalition StartAid Ukraine is part of the European project “Champions of the Digital Decade – C4DD”, implemented with the support of the European Union.

The Ukrainian Startup Association (UAS), together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (UKRNOIVI, a division of the Ministry of Economy), the Scientific Association of Cybersecurity of Ukraine and the HR agency Createria, are creating the National Coalition StartAid Ukraine.

The project duration is 15 months.

Target groups:

  • small and medium-sized enterprises;
  • startups;
  • students and youth;
  • veterans;
  • internally displaced persons;
  • universities;
  • civil society organizations;
  • investors;
  • state institutions.

Expected results:

  • Functioning national platform StartAid Ukraine;
  • Increasing the level of digital skills among youth, entrepreneurs, veterans and IDPs;
  • Forming a national network of partnerships;
  • Creating sustainable models of cooperation between education, business and the state;
  • Integrating Ukraine into European digital skills ecosystem.

European integration
StartAid Ukraine promotes Ukraine’s inclusion in EU initiatives in the field of digital skills and innovation, ensuring synchronization with the European DSJP platform and the Digital Decade policy.

Business Association “Platform for Supporting Innovative Projects”

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine
Supported by the Government of Switzerland

The Ukrainian Startup Association is a participant in the third phase of the Project “Strengthening MSME Business Membership Organizations in Ukraine”, which is implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine with the support of the Government of Switzerland.

Within the framework of the project, the UAS acted as the organizer of the Association of Business Associations “Innovation Project Support Platform” (IPSP), using the results of the previous project “Supporting SME Innovation” within the framework of the international initiative ReACT4UA (“Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Field of Trade”, 08.08.2023 – 15.01.2024).

In particular, the established partnerships and the digital platform were used for the further development of the MSME support ecosystem.

The Platform for supporting innovative projects includes 11 business associations that work together to:

  • improve the quality of services for small and medium-sized businesses;
  • develop partnerships;
  • advocate for the interests of entrepreneurs;
  • create innovative solutions for the development of MSMEs.

Expected impact:

  • Strengthen the capacity of business associations in Ukraine;
  • Improve the quality of services for MSMEs;
  • Create a sustainable model of cooperation between business and the state;
  • Expand entrepreneurs’ access to innovative solutions and support.

Supporting SME innovation

  • The First International Investment Forum for Innovations was held INVESTinUA

The forum brought together investors from 12 countries and Ukraine, over 180 Ukrainian SMEs, 9 of which presented their innovative projects during the pitch session. The event became the basis for the formation of an annual format, and the INVESTinUA brand was registered as a trademark.

The project contributed to the technical strengthening of the organization’s activities and the enhancement of its institutional capacity.

We actively attract grant funding for the development of innovations and digital skills.

All grant projects are implemented in accordance with the requirements of donors, ensuring transparency and financial accountability.

Integration of the national ecosystem into the European digital skills community.
